My Story My Voice

My story - My voice was formed with the mission of inspiring and empowering young women by providing them a venue and a means through which they can express their voice of dissent and/or social justice by using a model of media and education, creating meaningful content and bringing awareness to any given social/political cause.  

 

Through grassroots volunteer involvement, connecting with schools and organizations across the country, we invite young women to design and lead their own projects, taking a journalistic approach, tackling the issues that are relevant to their cause.  

 

Using social media campaigns through internet, networking sites, blogging, YouTube and strategic partnerships we find distribution for the content created reaching millions with the aim of increasing interest, viewership and notoriety, while at the same time using the project to promote knowledge and awareness of other non-profits and organizations connected to the same cause. 

 

It is our hope that by young women taking the lead and generating exposure in such critical social issues that currently affect our complex world, we assist in planting the seeds that will eventually create a ripple effect of awakening in our social consciousness and our humanity.
